To Lead While I ain't the boss

http://githinjimwaniki.wordpress.com/2014/04/13/to-lead-while-i-aint-the-boss/

I HOPE YOU DANCE

I was re-watchin one of the Tyler Perry's classic movie "The family that preys" and like in any other movie that I watch more than once I was waiting for that magic, that moment that I loved in the script.

Needless to say, I enjoyed it all through to the last bit, You have to appreciate this man's movies, he teaches, shows the untold stories of the black american families, and entertains in the same breath.

My moment ironically came on the last minutes of the movie, the last scenes are shown within the closing soundtrack, and that song to me is a magic moment.

Listening to the song "I HOPE YOU DANCE"  by LEE ANN WOMACK changes my moods in a blink, improves my attitude without any efforts and blesses my soul. It lets me appreciate every moment of my day, everyone who is near me, who I come across and whoever comes in my path.

In all you are going through, God would want to take a while and think about it all, take a lesson from it; most of all I HOPE YOU DANCE.

Read through the lyrics and get the song and let it bless you. Thank you!!!!

"I Hope You Dance"
I hope you never lose your
sense of wonder,
You get your fill to eat but
always keep that hunger,
May you never take one
single breath for granted,
GOD forbid love ever leave
you empty handed,
I hope you still feel small
when you stand beside the
ocean,
Whenever one door closes I
hope one more opens,
Promise me that you'll give
faith a fighting chance,
And when you get the
choice to sit it out or dance.
I hope you dance....I hope
you dance.
I hope you never fear those
mountains in the distance,
Never settle for the path of
least resistance
Livin' might mean takin'
chances but they're worth
takin',
Lovin' might be a mistake
but it's worth makin',
Don't let some hell bent
heart leave you bitter,
When you come close to
sellin' out reconsider,
Give the heavens above
more than just a passing
glance,
And when you get the
choice to sit it out or dance.
I hope you dance....I hope
you dance.
I hope you dance....I hope
you dance.
(Time is a wheel in constant
motion always rolling us
along,
Tell me who wants to look
back on their years and
wonder where those years
have gone.)
I hope you still feel small
when you stand beside the
ocean,
Whenever one door closes I
hope one more opens,
Promise me that you'll give
faith a fighting chance,
And when you get the
choice to sit it out or dance.
Dance....I hope you dance.
I hope you dance....I hope
you dance.
I hope you dance....I hope
you dance..
(Time is a wheel in constant
motion always rolling us
along
Tell me who wants to look
back on their years and
wonder where those years
have gone)

BOOMBOX FANTASY

Love this picture, and to
think of the mind behind
such a decision is just epic.
What goes through the mind
(or heart) of such a man??
Love is surely not the drive
to it, I would say it’s the
insanity that love builds, the
drive thus is the satisfaction
to feel you hqve gone to
that convincing extra mile,
that unique geture to
showcase how deep you are,
almost drowning, almost
losing yourself.
I would do this too, it’s
deep, somehow deaperate
but who cares when she has
already got you this far? A
man fights, a man cries
(mostly hiding), a man goes
an extra mile, a man holds
emotions in to survive in
these sea of “novelty love”,
a man has to.
So when next I wear my
“abba costumes” and lift up
my Boombox, it’s almost
sunset and my intelligence
surpasses that of our
government. I will have
decided to declare my
deepest fears, my weakest
point of submission and
uttermost unconditional
love.
Don’t stop me, I know I
might be out of my mind
but this too will pass, this
moment will end, this day
will be night, my tribulation
will be crowned on the
inevitable sunrise. Am
faithful, am positive…

PART OF MY HEART

You emerged on a rather wild morning, before my problems could contaminate my moods, and yet no foreign goods
Your timing was aimed to break and rule, yet am glad you ended up with just a part of it

Part of my heart knows for a while you were the best thing,
Part of my heart knew from the start it couldn't be
Part of my heart struggles to keep you around, yet the other can't stand the very idea of your existence

Why do bad people happen to good people, there's so much moral lessons left at the end of a bad love story, I choose to kill my folly, take up the part I wish would stay within my body, I know all I need from what was with you is memory

Part of my me always thought am in control, but every fundamental of this love was a lie, its like a house built on soluble rocks, when the rains reach it the house will fall

Good riddance, you've been a faithful tenant to the part I had successfully rented to you, while I treasure the royalty and the liberty we shared in that time,
The part I never gave you thinks it's time you left my heart, it's time purity was sought in this matters of the heart...

WHY AM STILL DATING BOOKS AND NOT GIRLS

I was just thinking why I am still not dating, ok, am dating my books, I do dates, quality time, and picnics with my books.

I looove holding my book, caress it, flip it around and smile before I turn every page with gentleman's touch and hardy.

Why???

1. If you’re in a
relationship with a book,
you never go to bed alone.

2. Your mom will pretty
much always approve of
the relationship.

3. If you’re ready to meet
a new book, it’s easy to go
out and find a new one.

4. It’s easy to get space
when you need it.

5. When things go bad, you
CAN start over from the
beginning.

6. You can skim over the
parts you don’t like.

7. They smell GREAT.

8. You can easily be in a
relationship with more
than one book and they
never find out about each
other.

9. Fantasizing is
encouraged.

10. It’s a love that lasts a
lifetime.

11. Books will always wait for you, you might be an year late and they won't complain.

Who can resist that!!!

THE FAULT IN OUR STARS

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ItBvH5J6ss&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Have you ever waited for something that you are equally scared that it might never match your expectation for it??Do you fear the unknown? The undefined? The oblivion....

I am effectively today in all those states, in my browse wanders I came across a link to my 2013 favourite book, The Fault in our Stars by John Green. I was elated, sat firmly and watched the trailer.too sad it wasn't the actual movie.

I was first referred to the book from the blog Bikozulu http://www.bikozulu.co.ke
and I never turned back. I got my copy and the next three nights were never the same. I was dipped into a world of sadness, turmoil, exitement, confusion and prayer for the cast. I had difficulty breathing into every page, the story wasn't one to read with an easy heart but the tone at which its told is equally cuptivating, fun and strangely interesting.

The Fault in our stars is now in a movie and from the trailer I can vouch for it smashing somethhing. If not world records then it will break a few hearts. Seen Gus with his charm and care you will be plunged into moments of despair, wishful thinking and passion.

I will follow up this with a review of the movie itself, am waiting with baited breath for the movie. All I could tell those who haven't watched this is, "It's not the same kind of movie as you are used to!"

The next time you go near textbook centre, don't be shy,  get in and enjoy this fine read. Good day....

Father,Girl and a moneylender. Solutions to Hardest problems

Many years ago in a small
Indian village, A farmer had
the misfortune Of owing a
large sum of money to a
village moneylender.
The Moneylender, who was
old and ugly, fancied the
farmer's beautiful Daughter.
So he proposed a bargain.
He said he would forgo the
farmer's debt if he could
marry his Daughter. Both
the farmer and his daughter
were horrified by the
Proposal.
So the cunning money-
lender suggested that they
let Providence decide the
matter. He told them that he
would put a black Pebble
and a white pebble into an
empty money bag. Then the
girl would Have to pick one
pebble from the bag.
1) If she picked the black
pebble, she would become
his wife and her father's
debt would be forgiven.
2) If she picked the white
pebble she need not marry
him and her father's debt
would still be forgiven.
3) But if she refused to pick
a pebble, her father would
be thrown into Jail.
They were standing on a
pebble strewn path in the
farmer's field. As They
talked, the moneylender
bent over to pick up two
pebbles.
As he Picked them up, the
sharp-eyed girl noticed that
he had picked up two Black
pebbles and put them into
the bag.
He then asked the girl to
pick A pebble from the bag.
Now, imagine that you were
standing in the field. What
would you have Done if you
were the girl? If you had to
advise her, what would you
Have told her?
Careful analysis would
produce three possibilities:
1. The girl should refuse to
take a pebble.
2. The girl should show that
there were two black
pebbles in the bag and
expose the money-lender as
a cheat.
3. The girl should pick a
black pebble and sacrifice
herself in order to save her
father from his debt and
imprisonment.
Take a moment to ponder
over the story. The above
story is used with The hope
that it will make us
appreciate the difference
between lateral And logical
thinking.
The girl's dilemma cannot
be solved with Traditional
logical thinking. Think of the
consequences if she chooses
The above logical answers.
What would you recommend
to the Girl to do?
Well, here is what she
did ....
'
'
'
'
'
'
'
The girl put her hand into
the moneybag and drew out
a pebble.
Without Looking at it, she
fumbled and let it fall onto
the pebble-strewn path
Where it immediately
became lost among all the
other pebbles.
"Oh, how clumsy of me,"
she said. "But never mind, if
you look into the Bag for
the one that is left, you will
be able to tell which pebble
I Picked."
Since the remaining pebble
is black, it must be assumed
that she had Picked the
white one.
And since the money-lender
dared not admit his
Dishonesty, the girl changed
what seemed an impossible
situation into An extremely
advantageous one.
MORAL OF THE STORY:
Most complex problems do
have a solution.
It is only that we don't
Attempt to think them to a
conclusion.

I am dumb

I am dumb,
My thoughts, words and imagination included.
My carelessness faults friends, so whole is crew dead

I am dumb,
Not the silent type, the stupid dumb type, my hazards and bad luck are ripe, I swipe my pipe to wipe the unsupportive tweeps

I am dumb
I shout #TGIF in the confines of my four walls, to rave with pals I got no balls, when loneliness falls, am busy with desperate night calls

See I never subscribe to their ideas of fun, and to never insecure enough to raise a gun, when they ridicule I turn, I myself know why I run

Girlfriends think am dumb too, which man turns away from a loose lay? and when called for love chooses to stay, who scares away the prey? While in the present world it's ok to stray?

I am dumb,
Because I expose my weaknesses to my suitors,
One moment she says I fit all the factors, the next she damps me among the actors.
I can't love while dumb, am damn numb to nice feelings, the next day I never matter

Now that I know who I am, I will try to be lower every term, if next she decides to cum, I will keep her with a full stretch arm,

We will get out of the crib and rave,
Take ourselves to the the Motels above
And as I appreciate her every curve
We will be flying happy together through every stave
From that moment she'll be mine to starve

Writing: For my fears

> Unwritten. When you finally live in planet earth long enough (like I think I have), you come to realise that not everything is categorised rightly, not every profession is correctly and sincerely named, and not every job description (most don't) match up to what your employer finally gets you to do.

See, the reason I say these things is to showcase my inability to focus, to show how unable I am to perfect one thing and how unlucky my days are that I can't seem to choose that x-factor opportunity. Maybe I never prepare enough, maybe my day is not here yet, maybe am meant to have what is just at tip point between enough and not enough, to learn how to balance, or maybe am just a moron who never appreciates what he has and always thinks he deserves better (or maybe I do).

One of the often things I do is write, but you might never read anything like an anthology, paperback or a bestseller by me, not until I believe you should. We live in a world where writing plays a big role in societal development, information passage and reference as well as entertainment. That's how we learn to develop titles of people like writers, novelists, poets, journalists,  feature people and upcoming and emerging writers. I fit in none of these, I am undefined,

I am the kind that gets the million dollar idea while in the shower but the idea gets freezed by the cold water, or I get a really nice idea to write about but am somewhere squeezed between two fat women in an unroadworthy matatu, am just a hazard to writing or writing to me is only in the mind.

Other times my fear is in how shallow my paragraphs are, how often I misspell and how scarce my quotations to famous philosophers and critical thinkers are in my writing, so I get scared that it won't be interesting, I fear that nobody will identify with my writing.

It's tough but that time passes, those moments fade away and the fears dissipate. You wake up and suddenly you don't care so much about mistakes , about being among other important people, and when your fear was in writing, everything changes and you just want your words to be out there, to be read by others, to be critisized by great writers and rejected by editors yet the only thing you care about is they are out there in the open...
